As the municipal corporation elections heat up in Maharashtra, Supriya Sule, the Nationalist Congress Party-SP working president and MP, addressed the alliance with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. Sule emphasized that the collaboration between the two factions was a result of collective efforts at the local level.
Responding to speculations surrounding the unexpected alliance, Sule explained that it was driven by the workers’ will and their expressed desire to work together on the ground. She highlighted that the tie-up was a product of grassroots-level dynamics.
The alliance in Pune has sparked rumors of a potential broader political realignment. There have been discussions suggesting that after the Municipal elections, Sharad Pawar’s faction might consider joining the NDA. Reports have also hinted at possible ministerial roles for Supriya Sule and Rohit Pawar post the elections.
When questioned about these rumors, Sule remained unfazed and focused on her current responsibilities. She acknowledged the discussions but emphasized staying grounded in reality and focusing on her constituency’s needs and her duties as an elected representative.
