Indian cricket team’s captain Surya Kumar Yadav has surged into the top ten batters list in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Following a strong performance in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand, where India leads 3-0, Yadav has moved up by five places to secure the seventh position.
Yadav, who had been struggling for form in T20 cricket, broke his half-century drought with a match-winning 82-run knock in the second match. He continued his impressive run by scoring 57 runs off 26 balls in the subsequent game.
In the same series, India’s opener Abhishek Sharma solidified his position at the top with a remarkable 68-run innings in the third T20I. With 929 points, he has extended his lead at the summit by 80 rating points.
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah also made gains in the rankings, climbing four places to reach 13th in the bowlers’ list after claiming three wickets against New Zealand in the third T20I. Meanwhile, Varun Chakravarthy maintains his top spot following an outstanding performance against the Blackcaps.
All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube have seen improvements in their rankings due to their contributions in the ongoing series. Pandya has moved up one spot to third place, while Dube has jumped five places to secure the eleventh position.
