A Suvidha Camp organized by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) received 60 grievances from residents on Saturday. The camp, held at the NDCC Convention Centre on Jai Singh Road, offered a single-window platform for information and prompt grievance redressal. Citizens had the opportunity to interact directly with senior departmental officers to resolve their concerns effectively.
One of the key features of the Suvidha Camp was the face-to-face consultations with senior officers. This allowed for quicker understanding and resolution of citizen concerns. In cases related to policy matters, citizens were informed about the procedures and timelines for grievance resolution, ensuring transparency and public confidence. The complaints covered various departments including Personnel, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, Public Health, Enforcement, Commercial, Tax, and Estate.
The camp not only addressed grievances but also provided information on civic services and public welfare initiatives. More than 100 officers from 30 departments participated in the camp to ensure the seamless coordination and quick resolution of issues. The departmental help desks were supervised by Heads of Departments, emphasizing NDMC’s commitment to accountability and efficient public service.
NDMC has also launched the Jan Suvidha Portal, an online grievance redressal system, as part of its digital governance initiatives. This portal allows residents to register complaints, track grievance status in real-time, and provide feedback on service quality. Through social media platforms, NDMC continues to facilitate grievance registration, ensuring prompt action on complaints received.
The Suvidha Camp initiative highlights NDMC’s dedication to citizen engagement, improving civic service delivery, and establishing a transparent and responsive governance framework that prioritizes citizen involvement.
