Tamil Nadu celebrated the vibrant Pongal festival on Thursday, marking a significant occasion for Tamils globally. Homes, from villages to cities, were decorated with kolams, and families gathered to celebrate with gratitude and hope.

Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, conveyed his heartfelt Pongal wishes to the people, praying for their health, wealth, and prosperity. He also honored the legacy of iconic leaders M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa, expressing his respects on this auspicious day.

Actor Vijay, leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), extended Pongal greetings to Tamils worldwide, emphasizing the festival’s significance for Tamil unity. He wished for love, peace, and success for all, highlighting the cultural unity and values embodied by Pongal.

The festive spirit in Tamil Nadu, as Pongal celebrations continue, reflects themes of gratitude, tradition, and hope for a peaceful and prosperous future.
