Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is heading to New Delhi to join the 11th Governing Council session of NITI Aayog, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting, set at the Cultural Centre in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex, will gather Chief Ministers nationwide to discuss development priorities and policy initiatives.
Amid calls to advocate for Tamil Nadu’s interests, CM Vijay is expected to voice the state’s development concerns and push for pending demands at the national level. This visit marks his second trip to the capital since taking office.
Before the NITI Aayog meeting, CM Vijay engaged in significant discussions with various national leaders. He met with President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and CPI General Secretary D. Raja to enhance ties with key figures.
During the NITI Aayog session, the Chief Minister aims to emphasize Tamil Nadu’s developmental needs, seek support for infrastructure and welfare projects, and request increased financial aid for crucial state initiatives.
