Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay traveled to Karur to provide government job appointments and welfare aid to families affected by the recent stampede. He will also engage in public events and official programs during his visit.
Departing from Chennai by air, the Chief Minister is set to land at Tiruchy Airport before proceeding to Karur by road. A warm welcome awaits him from party members and supporters along the way.
Vijay will lead a roadshow spanning nearly 10 kilometers before arriving at the Atlas Kalaiyaranga Ground on the Karur-Salem Bypass Road for a significant public address. A large pavilion has been set up at the venue to accommodate the anticipated crowd.
After the public gathering, he will briefly stop at the Government Tourist House before heading to the Karur District Collectorate for an official government event. During this program, CM Vijay will distribute job appointment orders to eligible family members of stampede victims and provide welfare assistance under various government schemes.
These compassionate appointments are part of the state government’s efforts to offer financial security to bereaved families. The welfare aid to be dispersed includes benefits from multiple government schemes for eligible recipients.
Upon completion of the official function, the Chief Minister will return to Tiruchy Airport by road and fly back to Chennai later in the day. Stringent security measures have been put in place for the visit, with approximately 6,500 police personnel deployed in Karur district.
Enhanced security arrangements have been implemented along the Chief Minister’s travel route, at the public meeting venue, Collectorate, and other key locations. Police have also enacted extensive traffic management and crowd-control measures to ensure the smooth progress of the Chief Minister’s convoy and the safe execution of all planned activities.
