Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a scathing attack on the BJP, stating that the people of the state would firmly reject the saffron party in the upcoming Assembly elections. Addressing a gathering of DMK Youth Wing West Zone executives in Coimbatore district, Udhayanidhi expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu would respond politically to the BJP. He emphasized that in the elections, the people of Tamil Nadu would strongly oppose the BJP.
Udhayanidhi praised Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, hailing him as a leader who has set an example for governance and politics in India. He highlighted the need for a united democratic front against the BJP under the guidance of their leader. Udhayanidhi also criticized opposition parties in the state, accusing them of conducting surveys without a proper understanding of Tamil Nadu’s electoral landscape.
The Deputy Chief Minister accused AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami of compromising his party’s autonomy by aligning with the BJP for personal political gains. He affirmed that the DMK remains undeterred by central agencies or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Udhayanidhi criticized the BJP government for allegedly obstructing developmental projects under the pretext of elections, expressing no fear of the ED or Modi.
Criticizing Prime Minister Modi, Udhayanidhi highlighted the public anxiety caused by sudden decisions like the Covid-19 lockdown and demonetization. He contrasted the DMK government’s approach of giving back to the people with the BJP’s alleged practice of taking money from them. Udhayanidhi also ridiculed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Karaikal, asserting that the people of Tamil Nadu would reject the BJP in the Assembly elections despite any efforts to the contrary.
