Tamil Nadu Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity Rajmohan dismissed opposition speculation about the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)-led coalition government’s stability. He emphasized that Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s administration has strong public support and is expected to remain politically stable in the long term. Rajmohan highlighted that despite doubts raised by political rivals before the Assembly elections, the alliance not only formed the government but also secured the people’s mandate.
Rajmohan expressed confidence in the government’s ability to complete its current five-year tenure comfortably and maintain public backing in the future. He mentioned that the state’s focus on governance and public welfare would further solidify its position among the electorate. Addressing concerns about law and order, Rajmohan stated that the government has been proactively implementing preventive measures since assuming office.
The Minister highlighted the police department’s efforts in identifying sensitive areas and executing precautionary strategies to prevent crimes and ensure public safety. He also mentioned ongoing awareness programs and surveillance activities as part of the broader security framework. Regarding a recent incident in Coimbatore, Rajmohan commended the swift action taken by authorities, emphasizing the government’s commitment to upholding law and order.
In response to criticisms from opposition parties, Rajmohan criticized the DMK for its comments on the Congress’ alliance shift from DMK to TVK. He defended the right of political parties to independently choose their alliances and political paths. Meanwhile, Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar addressed the AIADMK’s internal dispute over Legislature Party leadership, assuring that a decision would be made after examining representations from both factions. He affirmed his neutrality as the Speaker of the House.
