Tamil Nadu Minister Nirmal Kumar criticized the DMK and the AIADMK, stating that both parties are losing political power rapidly. He accused the opposition of trying to block Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s visit to Karur and using legal tactics to silence the government.
Nirmal Kumar questioned why the DMK was concerned about the Chief Minister’s visit to Karur, where the CBI is investigating the alleged custodial death of Ajith Kumar, a temple security guard. He alleged that the opposition’s goal was to stop the Chief Minister from going to the district.
The Minister highlighted that the CBI was already investigating the case and had not yet filed a charge sheet. He claimed that the opposition was exploiting the situation for political gain and to undermine the ruling government.
Nirmal Kumar accused the DMK and the AIADMK of exhausting their political strategies against the ruling government, asserting that their efforts had failed to have any significant impact. He predicted that both parties would soon face a decline in their memberships.
The political tensions in Tamil Nadu have escalated due to the Karur custodial death case and the ongoing verbal clashes between the ruling TVK government and the opposition parties.
