Garg, with over 30 years of automotive experience, is set to drive HMIL’s next phase of growth in India, succeeding Unsoo Kim, who will take on a strategic role at Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea. Garg, who previously held key positions at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is tasked with furthering HMIL’s commitment to ‘Make in India’ and positioning the company as a global export hub. Jose Munoz, President and CEO of HMC, praised Garg’s appointment, highlighting his role in achieving record sales, profits, and overseeing India’s largest IPO in 2024 during his tenure as COO at HMIL.
