Tarun Khanna, a well-known figure in the television industry for his mythological roles, including Lord Mahadev, recently discussed Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological film, “Ramayana.” Khanna praised Kapoor as one of the finest actors of his generation and expressed confidence in his ability to embody the character of Lord Ram. He emphasized Kapoor’s dedication to the role, mentioning that the actor even attended Khanna’s play, “Hamare Ram,” as part of his preparation.
In addition to Ranbir Kapoor, the film “Ramayana” will feature ‘KGF’ actor Yash as Raavana. Yash highlighted the universal appeal of the epic during the CinemaCon 2026 event, noting that the story’s enduring nature and cross-cultural significance make it a timeless narrative. He expressed excitement about the film’s potential to provide audiences with an immersive and unique cinematic experience, enhanced by modern technology.
“Ramayana,” produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, will also star Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
