Tata Technologies Limited saw an 11.5% decrease in consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY27. The company’s net profit dropped to Rs 181 crore from Rs 204 crore in the previous quarter. However, revenue from operations rose by 5.9% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 1,665 crore.
The company’s operating performance also showed improvement during the quarter. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by 7.5% sequentially to Rs 221 crore. Additionally, the EBIT margin expanded to 13.25% from 13.06%.
Tata Technologies’ services business was a significant growth driver, with revenue climbing 6.3% sequentially and 34.6% year-on-year to Rs 1,296.9 crore. In US dollar terms, services revenue reached $136.6 million, marking a 4.3% quarter-on-quarter increase in constant currency.
By the end of the June quarter, Tata Technologies had a workforce of 12,579 employees, with a trailing 12-month attrition rate of 16%. Warren Harris, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, noted the company’s strong execution in the previous fiscal year had continued into the June quarter, resulting in robust year-on-year growth in the services business.
Harris expressed optimism about the demand environment, citing healthy activity in strategic growth areas, a strong pipeline of large opportunities, and improving deal conversions. He emphasized ongoing investments in AI, operational efficiency, and portfolio diversification, expecting strong double-digit organic revenue growth in FY27.
