Team India has encountered a setback before the ODI series against England and the T20Is against Zimbabwe. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy are out due to hamstring injuries. Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi have been named as replacements in the ODI and T20I squads respectively.
Rana suffered discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20I against England, leading to a Grade 1 hamstring injury. Consequently, he will miss the upcoming ODI series against England for further assessment. Chakaravarthy, on the other hand, experienced left hamstring discomfort during the same match, resulting in a Grade 2 injury. He will be absent from the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe.
The updated squads for the upcoming matches include players like Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and others for the England ODIs. For the Zimbabwe T20Is, players such as Shreyas Iyer, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Abhishek Sharma have been included. The Indian team, after a defeat in the T20I series against England, will face them in a three-match ODI series starting July 14, followed by a tour to Zimbabwe for three T20Is and ODIs starting July 23.
