Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Samrat Choudhary-led government during the trust vote debate in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He alleged that the state’s treasury was empty and finances were under severe strain. Tejashwi Yadav claimed that Bihar carries a debt of nearly Rs 4 lakh crore and is facing financial constraints, even for essential obligations like pension payments.
Tejashwi questioned the government’s ability to pursue development projects under such financial pressure. He criticized the ruling alliance politically, dismissing the slogan associated with Nitish Kumar as misleading. Tejashwi argued that the absence of a clear Chief Ministerial face from the BJP had led to political instability in Bihar.
Describing Bihar as a political laboratory, Tejashwi highlighted the rapid turnover of governments in the state. He criticized the National Democratic Alliance for failing to provide consistent governance despite being in power for extended periods. Tejashwi also took a personal dig at the Chief Minister, hinting at internal dissent within the ruling coalition.
Tejashwi further claimed that many leaders in the government are not original BJP members but defectors from other parties, leading to internal friction. By mentioning names like Vijay Kumar Sinha and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi aimed to highlight ideological inconsistency within the ruling camp. He suggested that the Chief Minister and other leaders have political roots in rival parties, contributing to the political dynamics in Bihar.
