After Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s address in the Bihar Assembly, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Nitish government, calling the speech a mere formality. Tejashwi highlighted the poor law and order situation in Bihar, citing ongoing incidents of crime like rape and murder.
Questioning the credibility of investigations, Tejashwi raised concerns over the handling of cases such as the NEET aspirant’s alleged rape cum suspicious death. He also accused the state government of widespread corruption, alleging it exists at every level, from blocks to police stations.
Tejashwi directly targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, questioning why Bihar remains one of the most backward states in the country. He criticized the government’s employment claims, stating that promises of industrial development and job creation lack clarity and transparency.
In his remarks on the Union Budget, Tejashwi accused the Central government of neglecting Bihar, claiming that the budget did not offer anything substantial for the state. The Budget Session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly commenced with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s address, where he highlighted developmental work undertaken during Nitish Kumar’s tenure.
