The Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, criticized Nitish Kumar for taking his oath as a Rajya Sabha member, dismissing it as a mere formality. Tejashwi questioned the hype around the event, sarcastically asking if Nitish Kumar had become the Prime Minister. He alleged that Nitish Kumar’s move to the Rajya Sabha was not voluntary but due to political pressure.
Expressing a mix of criticism and sympathy, Tejashwi claimed that Nitish Kumar is under significant strain and stated that he had predicted the Chief Minister would face disruptions. Tejashwi raised concerns over the timing of the decision, suggesting doubts about the circumstances behind it and alleging public humiliation of the Chief Minister.
Tejashwi further criticized the state government, claiming that Bihar’s condition is deteriorating rapidly. He highlighted increasing crime rates, declining education and healthcare sectors, and accused the government of focusing solely on retaining power. Tejashwi also accused the administration of deliberately delaying teacher recruitment, affecting thousands of job aspirants.
