Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and state Congress president Mahesh Goud recently held discussions with AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge at Novotel Hotel near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. The meeting, which lasted for about an hour and a half, focused on current political developments in the state and government programs. AICC In-charge for Telangana, Meenakshi Natarajan, was also present during the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Office announced that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will conduct a review meeting with officials to discuss the implementation of the Employees’ Health Scheme in Telangana. The scheme aims to provide health security for employees and pensioners in the state. The Employee Health Care Trust, comprising representatives from employee and pensioners’ associations, will oversee the scheme’s implementation.
The Employees’ Health Scheme, approved by the State Cabinet on February 23, will cover a significant number of beneficiaries, including employees, pensioners, and their dependent family members. The scheme ensures cashless treatment in government hospitals and selected private hospitals for various medical procedures. Both employees and the government will contribute to the Trust, with an annual outlay of Rs 1,056 crore.
