Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the government’s dedication to the welfare of farmers in Telangana during the ‘Sri Parabhava Nama Ugadi’ celebrations in Hyderabad. He declared the government’s commitment to elevating agriculture as a profitable occupation, aiming to empower farmers as key stakeholders. Reddy announced the upcoming release of funds under the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme, with bonuses and support for agricultural produce.
Stressing the government’s efforts to alleviate the financial burden on farmers, Chief Minister Reddy highlighted the waiver of farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh per grower in Telangana. He also mentioned the state’s significant investment of ₹18,000 crore in the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ initiative. Reddy expressed pride in Telangana’s low debt burden among farmers nationwide, recognizing the importance of agriculture to the majority of families in the state.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Reddy discussed initiatives such as Bhu Bharati to address land ownership issues and the government’s commitment to positioning Telangana as a leading state in the country. He underscored the state’s preparedness in dealing with natural calamities and extended prayers for the prosperity and safety of the people of Telangana during the Ugadi festival.
The official Ugadi event, organized by the Telangana Department of Language and Culture and the Department of Endowments, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with various ministers, officials, and political representatives. The gathering aimed to celebrate the new Telugu year and underscore the government’s support for the farming community.
