Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao recently evaluated the advancement of infrastructure projects managed by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) throughout the state. At a meeting at the Secretariat, TGIIC Managing Director K. Shashanka provided a comprehensive update on the corporation’s ongoing projects aimed at fostering industrial growth and attracting investments. The discussion covered various significant industrial ventures, such as the Industrial Smart City in Zaheerabad and the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park near Warangal.
The Chief Secretary instructed TGIIC officials to create a digital dashboard to monitor key performance metrics, including investments secured, projects initiated, and jobs created by the corporation’s industrial parks. He stressed the importance of this system for structured progress tracking. Regarding the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City, the Chief Secretary recommended a focused plan to allure potential investors, recognizing its potential to boost the state’s economic development significantly.
Reviewing the status of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, the Chief Secretary highlighted its potential for substantial job creation, especially for local youth. He urged officials to ensure timely completion of necessary infrastructure to facilitate prompt commencement of industrial operations. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of defining clear timelines for infrastructure completion in industrial parks and establishing a transparent strategy for land allocation to industries.
Officials from Rangareddy and Sangareddy districts, alongside TGIIC representatives, were present at the meeting.
