Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has accused the BJP of scheming to remove voters from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and minority groups during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Reddy claimed that the BJP, along with BRS, planned to eliminate a significant number of Congress sympathizers’ votes in the Kodangal Assembly constituency, which he represents.
Speaking at a Congress party meeting in Kodangal, the Chief Minister criticized the alleged collaboration between BRS and BJP, labeling them as two sides of the same coin. He asserted that the opposition parties conspired to weaken his political influence in Kodangal and at the state level.
Reddy warned Congress leaders about attempts by opposition parties to erase votes of Congress sympathizers in Kodangal, portraying it as a covert move due to their inability to confront him directly. He emphasized the importance of voter registration before the August 3 deadline, with 22% of voters still pending registration in the constituency.
The Chief Minister urged Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to ensure complete enrollment of voters by July 30 to prevent any eligible person from losing their voting rights. Reddy expressed gratitude to the people of Kodangal for their steadfast support and blessings in his leadership as Chief Minister.
