Hyderabad, Aug 9 (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud have greeted youth on the Foundation Day of the Indian Youth Congress.

“On the Foundation Day of the Indian Youth Congress, my heartfelt greetings to the youth of India. Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the force shaping India today,” the Chief Minister said in his message.

“Let us unite to defend our Constitution, strengthen democracy, and fight for justice, equality and opportunity for all. Together, let us build a stronger, inclusive and progressive India,” he added.

TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud extended warm greetings to all the leaders and dedicated workers of the Indian Youth Congress on Youth Congress Formation Day.

“The Youth Congress has played a vital role in nurturing young leadership, strengthening the organisation at the grassroots, and inspiring generations of young people to contribute to public service and nation-building. Let us reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of the Indian National Congress and continue empowering the youth to lead with courage, responsibility and dedication. My best wishes to the entire Youth Congress family,” the state Congress chief said.

At a programme held at Gandhi Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters, Mahesh Kumar Goud hoisted the Youth Congress flag and conveyed Foundation Day greetings.

Minister for Transport and Backward Classes Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, also greeted the youth. “Youth Congress Founding Day greetings to the leaders, youth, and students representing the Indian Youth Congress, the world’s largest democratic youth organisation,” he said.

Meanwhile, TPCC organised a programme at Gandhi Bhavan on Quit India Day. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Cabinet ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Vakati Srihari, and Mohammed Azharuddin attended the programme.

They also visited the special exhibition arranged under the auspices of the Gandhi Trust.

The Congress leaders also went around the book exhibition and display of Mahatma Gandhi statues and paid their respects to the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
