Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project urgently. He emphasized the need for quick land acquisition for various projects in the former Mahabubnagar district. During a meeting with ministers and MLAs from the district, he assured immediate release of necessary funds for the land acquisition.
The Chief Minister directed district ministers to oversee irrigation projects in collaboration with relevant officials and to monitor progress continuously. He emphasized prompt payments for land acquisition funds without delays and readiness to clear pending bills for district projects. Ministers and officials, including Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, are actively involved in ensuring the completion of projects on an accelerated timeline.
The Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme is slated for completion by December 2027, as announced by Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy earlier this month. Additionally, all pending irrigation projects in the former Mahbubnagar district will be fast-tracked for timely completion. A Council of Ministers’ meeting is scheduled for May 21 at the Dr B. R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, with officials already informed about the upcoming session.
