Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has called on the Union government to provide essential assistance for the progress of the Scheduled Castes. He emphasized this need during a meeting with Kishore Makwana, the chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes. The Chief Minister highlighted the State’s efforts to combat caste discrimination among students and briefed the SC Commission chairperson on initiatives for the socio-economic and political empowerment of SC communities.
Revanth Reddy informed Makwana about the state’s focus on ensuring opportunities for the SC community that surpass their demographic representation. He mentioned the creation of ‘Young India Integrated Residential Schools’ in each Assembly constituency to enhance the education system. Additionally, discussions included the establishment of ‘Telangana Public Schools’ offering education from Nursery to Class 12, along with provisions for meals and transportation for students.
During the meeting, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, DGP CV Anand, and other officials were present to discuss measures for the development of the SC community. The Chief Minister also commended Pravallika Narimalla for securing a gold medal in the women’s 4x400m relay at the Asian U-23 Athletics Championships in China. Pravallika, a student of SC Gurukul Degree College in Nalgonda, was praised for her achievements and hailed as an inspiration for young athletes.
