The Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna revealed that the Telangana Congress government has successfully offered employment to over 100,000 young individuals within two years. An additional 15,000 to 20,000 job opportunities are anticipated soon through skill development programs. The announcement was made during a large-scale job fair in Peddapalli as part of the 99-day Praja Palana- Pragati Pranalika initiative.
State IT minister Sridhar Babu was also present at the event, emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering the youth. Vamsi Krishna emphasized the government’s primary objective of ensuring job opportunities for all unemployed youth. He encouraged the youth to seize the opportunities being created and highlighted the presence of 65 Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) in the state offering modern skills training.
Vamsi Krishna further disclosed plans for 120 new ATCs across Telangana, which are expected to generate an additional 15,000 to 20,000 job openings in the near future. Stressing the importance of aligning skills with industry demands for securing quality jobs, the MP underscored the significance of skill development initiatives. Minister Sridhar Babu expressed that such job fairs are conducted to motivate and support the youth, with 4,000 job opportunities already provided through TASK and 1,500 candidates securing placements.
The event witnessed active participation from numerous unemployed youth engaging with recruiters to explore various employment prospects. Vamsi Krishna and Sridhar Babu inaugurated the TASK-AVGC & Artificial Intelligence Center and TASK-CtriLS Talent Center in Manthani, aiming to provide training in modern fields like Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These centers, established by Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, aim to offer industry-tailored training to rural students, bridging the gap between rural youth and the digital world.
