Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, has instructed Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to cancel the mining tender for the Naini coal block. This decision comes in response to allegations of his involvement in the tender process. Vikramarka directed SCCL to initiate fresh tenders in line with the Centre’s guidelines for public sector undertakings.
Addressing the media, Vikramarka defended himself, stating that the accusations were baseless. He emphasized that his focus in politics is on safeguarding the state’s assets for future generations, rather than personal gain. The Deputy CM, responsible for Energy and Finance portfolios, dismissed reports linking him to the Naini coal block contract as misleading and fabricated.
Vikramarka criticized the alleged misinformation spread by a Telugu television channel and a newspaper. He asserted that his political aspirations revolve around equitable distribution of resources among all segments of society. The Deputy CM also highlighted the importance of upholding integrity in public discourse and avoiding character assassination through unfounded claims.
