The Telangana government has successfully deposited Rs 7,750.45 crore into the bank accounts of farmers within a span of seven days through the Rythu Bharosa scheme, aimed at providing investment support to farmers. This initiative has benefited nearly 69 lakh farmers and covered over 129 lakh acres of cultivated land.
In the latest phase of the scheme, an amount of Rs 259.73 crore was transferred to the accounts of farmers cultivating between 7 and 8 acres of land. This phase assisted 58,831 farmers, encompassing 4.32 lakh acres of cultivated land.
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao highlighted the phased release of Rythu Bharosa funds to ensure minimal inconvenience to farmers. He emphasized the government’s dedication to farmer welfare, ensuring that all eligible farmers receive the scheme’s benefits without any hindrance.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy kickstarted the disbursement of Rythu Bharosa amounts to farmers for the ongoing Kharif 2026–27 crop season, aiming to deposit Rs 9,000 crore in farmers’ bank accounts within nine days. The first phase will see Rs 2,482.02 crore credited to the accounts of 41.37 lakh farmers owning up to two acres of land.
