The Telangana state government has taken a significant step by releasing Rs 1,000 crore towards pending dues of government employees. Acting on the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister’s directions, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the funds were released, fulfilling an assurance made in the Assembly. Last year, the government had promised to release Rs 700 crore per month during discussions with employee unions, and it has now increased this monthly allocation to Rs 1,000 crore from the current financial year.

With this increase, the government has cleared all pending General Provident Fund (GPF) dues up to October 2025, providing relief to retired employees awaiting their benefits. Additionally, the government is ensuring prompt clearance of medical bills and scholarships without delays, emphasizing the importance of employees’ health security. The government’s commitment to addressing employees’ issues is evident through these recent actions, reflecting its dedication to employee welfare and problem resolution.

Officials have highlighted the government’s proactive approach in recognizing and resolving employees’ problems, with employee unions expressing satisfaction over the substantial release of funds led by the Deputy CM.
