Felix Dolci, Jordan Carroll, and Lia-Monica Fontaine clinched gold for Canada, with Kate McDonald from Australia and Luke Whitehouse from England also claiming gold medals on Monday.
Felix Dolci stood out for Canada by winning the Men’s Rings event, turning his bronze from Birmingham 2022 into gold at Glasgow 2026. Dolci’s impressive performance earned him a score of 13.766, outshining his teammate William Emard, who had topped the qualifying round but settled for silver.
In the Men’s Pommel Horse Final, Jordan Carroll of Canada seized the gold with a remarkable score of 15.000. The day also marked a historic moment for Scotland as Reuben Ward and Cameron Lynn secured silver medals, making it the first time in Commonwealth Games history to have two Scots on the podium for Artistic Gymnastics.
Lia-Monica Fontaine continued Canada’s success by winning the Women’s Vault gold, showcasing her expertise in the event. Luke Whitehouse from England claimed the first Artistic Gymnastics gold of the day with an outstanding floor routine, while Rene Cournoyer and James Hardy added to Canada’s medal tally with silver and bronze, respectively.
