In a significant move, the Telangana state government has transferred 45 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has issued an order for the transfer and posting of IAS officers in various key departments and districts.
One of the notable transfers involves senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar, who held the position of Special Chief Secretary in the Disaster Management and Revenue Department. His transfer follows reports that the Union government has given approval for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to prosecute him in connection with the alleged misappropriation of Rs 54.88 crore public funds related to the Formula-E car race case.
Another key change includes the placement of M. Dana Kishore, the Special Chief Secretary of the Labour, Employment Training, and Factories Department, as the acting Special Chief Secretary in charge of Disaster Management.
Sabyasachi Ghosh, an IAS officer from the 1994 batch, has been re-designated as the Special Chief Secretary for the Implementation of Flagship Welfare and Developmental Schemes Unit, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Rahul Bojja, who previously served as the Principal Secretary to Government in the Irrigation and Command Area Development Department, has been transferred to the position of Principal Secretary to Government in the General Administration Department with E. Sridhar being relieved from his additional charge.
