The Telangana High Court has postponed the announcement of its decision regarding the cancellation of results and merit list of the Group-1 services main exam conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission. The court, comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, has rescheduled the pronouncement of orders to February 5. Parties involved were notified that the judgment copy was not yet prepared, and the final decision would be delivered on the said date.
The court had concluded the arguments on December 31, 2025, and had reserved its order. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and certain candidates had challenged the single judge’s ruling by Justice Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao, which invalidated the final marks list and General Ranking List of the Group-1 Mains examination. The single judge had instructed the TGPSC to re-evaluate all answer scripts manually or conduct a re-examination within eight months due to identified evaluation process discrepancies.
Despite the single judge’s directive, the division bench stayed the order, permitting the TGPSC to proceed with issuing appointment letters to successful candidates for Group-I posts based on the existing results. However, the appointments are subject to the final court ruling. Following the division bench’s interim decision, the TGPSC announced the list of provisionally selected candidates based on the General Ranking List (GRL) released on March 30, 2025.
