Telangana’s Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy clarified that the recent High Court ruling did not absolve anyone in the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission’s investigation into Kaleshwaram project irregularities. The High Court upheld the commission’s formation and findings, stating the appointments were lawful and not arbitrary.

The court, however, raised concerns about certain individuals not receiving proper notices as per procedure in the commission’s report. It granted relief to petitioners by preventing actions based solely on the commission’s findings. The government plans to request a CBI inquiry into the project’s irregularities and failures.

Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasized that the High Court ruling does not impede the CBI investigation and that further actions will be decided after reviewing the judgment. He highlighted the project’s collapse and alleged irregularities from site selection to construction. The minister stressed the need to determine accountability for the project’s failures.
