Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha attributed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party’s election defeat to the arrogance of its leaders and their failure to fulfill promises. Responding to her brother, K. T. Rama Rao, she questioned if she was to blame for the loss. Kavitha highlighted the party’s shortcomings in delivering on job and housing commitments, as well as fielding candidates with questionable backgrounds.

She emphasized that the party’s defeat was primarily due to its leaders’ haughty demeanor. Kavitha advised her brother to acknowledge the election outcome and make necessary adjustments. She criticized K. T. Rama Rao for attempting to manipulate the court ruling in their favor and disapproved of him holding her responsible for the party’s failure. Kavitha also pointed out the lack of support from her family and the party during her legal troubles.

Kavitha, who was a BRS MLC, faced legal issues in 2024 and subsequently left the party due to internal conflicts. She expressed gratitude for being acquitted just before the launch of a new political party. Meanwhile, K. T. Rama Rao commented on the Delhi court’s decision regarding the Delhi liquor policy case, expressing confidence in proving the innocence of party leaders accused in similar cases.
