Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and Telangana Labour Minister Dr G. Vivek Venkataswamy met Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy in New Delhi to discuss expediting the Tadicherla-2 coal block project. They emphasized the need for providing 1,000 jobs to local youth, prioritizing those from affected villages, and ensuring proper rehabilitation for displaced families. The Tadicherla-2 Coal Block has been allocated to Singareni Collieries Company Limited by the Centre, with the leaders advocating for a minimum monthly pension of Rs 10,000 for retired Singareni workers.
The Telangana leaders also engaged in talks with Union Minister for Labour & Employment Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, focusing on employment generation, skill development, and labour welfare. They sought increased Central support for labour welfare initiatives and employment opportunities in Telangana. Additionally, they met Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary to discuss advanced skill training for youth and the development of industry-oriented training programs aligned with emerging job needs. Minister Vivek Venkatswamy reiterated the Telangana government’s commitment to collaborating closely with the Union government to drive the state’s development, enhance youth employment, bolster labour welfare, and boost the mining sector’s growth.
