Telangana Rakshana Samithi (TRS) President K. Kavitha met Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to seek justice for those affected by land acquisition in various areas. Kavitha, accompanied by Dharma Samaj Party President Visharadan Maharaj and affected individuals, submitted a plea requesting house sites for those whose homes were demolished in Velugumatla, Khammam district. They also urged the cancellation of a land acquisition notice for an Industrial Park in Kadlapur, Parigi Mandal.
Two representatives from Velugumatla, Kadlapur, and RRR areas joined the delegation that presented their concerns to the Governor. Kavitha expressed optimism after the meeting, stating that the Governor responded positively and hoping for justice to prevail. She criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government for demolishing homes and accused him of misleading the public by claiming to have enriched the affected individuals with inexpensive sarees.
Describing Revanth Reddy as a “ruthless” Chief Minister, Kavitha labeled the Congress government as “wicked.” The delegation highlighted issues such as house demolitions in Velugumatla, changes in the RRR alignment, land acquisition in Rayagiri, and attempts to acquire land in Kadlapur for an industrial park. Kavitha emphasized the ongoing efforts of TRS and Dharma Samaj Party in advocating for the victims of land acquisition, noting some recent successes in securing land allocation and halting acquisition processes.
Kavitha stressed the importance of Central government involvement for complete success in their endeavors. She expressed hope that the Governor would address these matters constructively and positively. If justice is not served, Kavitha warned of potential future protests by the affected individuals.
