Television actress Nandini C.M., aged 26, known for her roles in Kannada and Tamil serials, tragically died by suicide. She was found hanging in her Bengaluru residence. Nandini’s suicide note mentioned family pressure to secure a government job as a reason for her extreme step.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Nandini’s family urged her to take up her late father’s government teaching job, which she resisted. She expressed her desire to pursue acting in her diary, feeling unheard and distressed at home.
Nandini, who hailed from Kottur in Ballari district, had made a name for herself in popular Kannada serials and was also active in Tamil television. Her suicide is under investigation, and her body has been handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination.
Nandini’s mother shared that she completed her education in Ballari and later pursued acting, leading her to a career in television serials. Despite offers for a government job, Nandini chose to follow her passion for acting and lived independently in Bengaluru.
