Director Raj Rachakonda’s award-winning film ’23’ is set to be shown to prisoners in Telangana. The film, which won the Special Jury Award at the Gaddar State Film Awards, impressed Telangana Director General of Prisons Soumya Mishra for its realistic portrayal of prison life and the transformation of criminals.

Mishra praised the film, comparing it to great works like The Shawshank Redemption, and emphasized the importance of showcasing it to prisoners. ’23’, directed by Raj Rachakonda, focuses on the theme of criminals’ transformation and has garnered critical acclaim since its release last year.

Acknowledging the film’s success, Director Raj expressed gratitude to the team and highlighted the significance of organizing screenings in prisons to fulfill the film’s purpose.
