Telugu states are experiencing severe heatwave conditions, with Piduguralla in Andhra Pradesh reaching 48.1 degrees Celsius and Dilawarpur in Telangana hitting 46.5 degrees Celsius. In Telangana, 19 districts recorded temperatures of 46 degrees Celsius and above, while in Andhra Pradesh, 18 districts saw temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius.
Authorities have issued warnings due to the escalating heat levels in both states, urging the public to stay cautious. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority Managing Director, Prakhar Jain, reported that Piduguralla in Palnadu district recorded a scorching 48.1 degrees Celsius, with temperatures surpassing 45 degrees in 18 districts.
As the heatwave is expected to persist until Monday, people are advised to avoid travel between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The forecast indicates that severe heatwave conditions will affect several mandals, with temperatures ranging from 45 to 47 degrees Celsius in various districts of both states.
