Tension arose at Inaguduru police station in Krishna district when Jana Sena activists attempted to attack YouTuber and political commentator Bachalakuri Joseph, also known as Prashna Raavan, who was arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Police had to work hard to control the Jana Sena workers who surrounded the police station.
To keep the protestors at bay, the police formed a security cordon around the station. Despite this, some activists tried to push through the police, leading to a scuffle. A few of them even managed to climb the wall and enter the premises, but the police swiftly removed them from the station.
Raavan, arrested by Andhra Pradesh police on June 30 in Hyderabad, was taken to Inaguduru police station after being granted bail by two courts in Kakinada district. Similar incidents occurred at Sarpavaram police station in Kakinada district, where Jana Sena workers protested, demanding Raavan be handed over to them.
After being granted bail by a court in Kakinada, Raavan was arrested again by police in a separate case at Inaguduru Police Station and was later moved to Machilipatnam. The YouTuber had previously been arrested by Sarpavanam police on July 1, immediately after being granted bail by a court in Pithapuram.
