The situation in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, remains tense following clashes that erupted over the alleged vandalism of a statue of B.R. Ambedkar in the Bankeganj area. Tensions escalated on Tuesday evening after the statue was damaged, leading to a confrontation between locals and the police during Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations. An unidentified individual reportedly damaged the statue, sparking anger among residents and escalating into protests and disturbances in the area.
