Tension escalated in Nauranga-Jalalpur village, Patna district, Bihar, due to a social media post dispute that led to firing during a village council meeting. The conflict stemmed from a post by Mukesh Kumar, the current PACS President and village sarpanch representative, which angered another group in the village. A Panchayat meeting was called to resolve the issue and restore peace.

Allegations of firing emerged during the meeting as an argument between the two sides intensified, causing panic and chaos among villagers, resulting in a stampede-like situation. No official injuries have been reported yet, and the police are yet to confirm the number of rounds fired or identify the perpetrators. Security has been heightened in the area to ease tensions.

Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident, conducting raids at the residences and suspected hideouts of two local youths for questioning. Efforts are ongoing to identify all involved parties and bring back normalcy to the village. Nauranga-Jalalpur village has a history of sensitivity, with a previous firing incident involving a political figure and a local gang.
