Mussoorie Municipal Council and the SDM’s office in Mussoorie received threatening emails, causing concern among officials. The emails, allegedly from the ‘Khalistan National Army,’ warned of bomb blasts at key locations in Uttarakhand and Delhi. Authorities are currently investigating the origin and credibility of these messages.
Security measures have been heightened in response to the threats, with police, administration, and Intelligence agencies actively involved in the investigation. The Municipal Council’s premises are being thoroughly searched, although no suspicious items have been discovered so far. The cyber cell has also been enlisted to assist in the probe.
Mussoorie Station House Officer (SHO) Devendra Chauhan confirmed that efforts are underway to authenticate the threatening email and trace its source. The police are utilizing technical means to track down the sender, including examining IP addresses and server information. The administration has advised the public to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activities promptly, and disregard rumors.
While the current situation appears normal, security agencies are on high alert for any potential threats. Earlier incidents of bomb threat emails to various government offices in Gujarat triggered security responses, which were later deemed false alarms after thorough searches yielded no explosives or dangerous items.
