Three individuals have been apprehended by Behat Police in Gwalior for shooting at a moving vehicle, resulting in severe injuries to a 60-year-old woman. The police have swiftly solved the case within 48 hours of the incident.
Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Dharmveer Singh, revealed that the accused pursued a “Scorpio car” in a “Creta” vehicle and fired at it following a dispute over road passage. The police have confiscated a .315 bore gun, live and spent cartridges, and the Creta car used in the offense.
The unfortunate event occurred as Bhim Gautam Sharma and his mother, Vimla Devi Sharma, were heading home after attending a religious gathering in Gijorra Dudhkhoh village. During their journey, they stopped at various temples in the area.
Upon encountering a group of youths blocking the road near Rangawan village, Bhim honked for passage, which led to a confrontation. Subsequently, the miscreants chased their car and opened fire, critically injuring Vimla Devi Sharma.
The perpetrators fled towards Bhind post the shooting, while the injured woman was rushed to a private hospital in critical condition. The Behat Police have initiated a case of attempted murder and are actively investigating the matter.
