Three individuals, including two teenagers, lost their lives in a tragic accident in Bihar’s West Champaran district. The incident occurred near Nathbaba Chowk in Bagahi, under the Bairia police station area, late Thursday night. The victims, who were returning from a local fair, were riding a motorcycle that collided with a stationary truck on the road.
The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the immediate death of two of the youths, while the third succumbed to injuries during transportation between hospitals. The deceased have been identified as Alok Raj (18), Roshan Kumar (15), and Vikas Kumar (20), all residents of Ward No. 6 of Ghuspura village in West Champaran district. Following the accident, local authorities arrived promptly, managed the situation, and arranged for post-mortem examinations of the bodies.
The tragic incident has left the families in mourning, with the village enveloped in grief. Calls have been made by residents for stricter traffic regulations, particularly concerning parked heavy vehicles, to prevent similar tragedies in the future. In a separate incident, Nawada JD(U) MLA Vibha Devi’s younger son, Akhilesh Kumar, lost his life in a car crash late on Thursday night. The accident, which occurred under the Mufassil police station area, involved his car crashing into a Banyan tree at high speed.
