Three individuals lost their lives, and one person sustained injuries in a tragic incident in Bihar’s Kishanganj district. The fatal accident occurred when a speeding car collided with a motorcycle near Khaikhat, resulting in the immediate death of three victims and leaving one injured. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Shadab, Mohammad Nazir, and Shah Alam, casting a shadow of sorrow over their families.
Mohammad Alam, who recently got married on January 24, was among the deceased, plunging his household into mourning. The sudden loss has deeply affected the young bride and family members, with the entire locality grieving the unfortunate event. Following the collision, locals at the scene promptly alerted the authorities, leading to the intervention of the Bahadurganj Police Station team.
Law enforcement officials swiftly responded to the situation, bringing it under control and transferring the bodies to Kishanganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. Gautam Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, confirmed that legal measures have been initiated, including the search for the driver responsible for the fatal accident. A case of reckless driving has been filed by the police, who are actively reviewing CCTV footage to identify the vehicle and its registration details.
This tragic incident has once again underscored the pressing issue of road safety in Bihar, particularly during nighttime, as noted by local residents. Notably, a similar fatal accident occurred on February 5 near the Veer Kunwar Singh Bus Stand in Kishanganj, where three friends lost their lives after colliding with a truck while riding a motorcycle. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle initially struck a divider before hitting the truck from behind, resulting in fatal injuries to the riders.
