Notably, Akash Parkar, Prasad Pawar, and Musheer Khan fetched significant amounts, highlighting the competitive nature of the bidding process.
The league also unveiled its lineup of Icon Players, including renowned names like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan, and Tushar Deshpande. Arjun Tendulkar’s acquisition by Arcs Andheri for ₹10 lakh was a notable highlight, emphasizing the league’s role in nurturing budding talents. Triumph Knights retained young sensations Ayush Mhatre and Suryansh Shedge to maintain their winning core.
Ajinkya Naik, President of MCA, expressed satisfaction with the auction’s competitiveness, praising Mumbai’s cricketing talent pool and the franchises’ strategic selections. Rajdip Gupta, Chairman of the League Governing Council, commended the franchises for balancing experience and emerging talent, setting the stage for an exciting and high-quality season of cricket.
The T20 Mumbai League Season 4 is scheduled to commence in June, with specific dates and venues to be announced soon. Earlier, the Women’s League auction saw Ira Jadhav making headlines as Aakash Tigers secured her for ₹10 lakh, adding to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming season.
