Top teams are gearing up for the 4th Hockey India Junior Women Academy Championship 2026 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, starting on July 24. The tournament will feature 12 academy teams divided into two pools, with matches scheduled until August 3.
In Pool A, teams like Raja Karan Hockey Academy and Khalsa Hockey Academy will compete, while Pool B includes Ritu Rani Hockey Academy and Mumbai Schools Sports Association. The championship aims to showcase young talent and promote healthy competition among junior women’s hockey academies.
Hockey India officials, including President Dr. Dilip Tirkey and Secretary General Shri Bola Nath Singh, have highlighted the significance of such championships in nurturing young players and providing them with exposure to competitive environments. The tournament will follow a league format, with classification matches decided by shoot-outs if needed.
