At least six tourists from Bengaluru were injured in Srinagar when a lift collapsed at Hotel Arison Luxury in the Hyderpora area. The injured individuals were later taken to Bone and Joint Hospital, Barzulla, for treatment of leg and lower body injuries.
The injured, including Vinkatesh, D. Mangula, Kushalla, Pankaja, Venkatalakshmamma, and Sowbhagya, were reported to be stable upon arrival at the hospital. The circumstances leading to the lift collapse remain unclear, with no official statement from the hotel management issued yet.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the malfunction and assess any potential negligence. The incident has sparked concerns regarding safety standards in hospitality establishments, especially those serving tourists.
