All tourists stuck in cable car cabins in Gulmarg, J&K, were safely rescued by joint teams, including the Police, Army, and SDRF. The rescue operation was initiated due to a technical fault that halted the Gulmarg Gondola, causing panic among the stranded passengers.

The high-altitude resort faced a sudden system glitch, leading to the abrupt stop of Asia’s highest cable car. Despite the technical malfunction, all trapped tourists were successfully evacuated without any injuries reported. Authorities, including J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, ensured the public that specialized teams were on-site to manage the situation.

Scores of tourists were left hanging mid-air in the cabins, prompting a swift response from emergency teams like the Indian Army, NDRF, and local police. The joint operation led to the safe retrieval of all passengers, averting any potential harm. The situation was swiftly brought under control, with operations temporarily suspended for precautionary measures.
