A tragic road accident in Chaksu, Jaipur, resulted in the loss of five lives, including a woman, when a car collided with a trailer on the Kota–Jaipur National Highway (NH-52). The victims, hailing from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, met with the accident around 5:30 am near Tigaria Mod in Chaksu. The car, en route from Madhya Pradesh to Jaipur, crashed into a trailer as the driver allegedly fell asleep.

The collision was so intense that the car was severely damaged, leaving the occupants trapped inside. Four individuals, including a woman, lost their lives on the spot, while a critically injured young man succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The deceased were identified as Reshma Shrivastava, Piyush Rai, Rajak Rahul, and driver Anurag, with one victim yet to be identified.

The accident led to a significant traffic congestion on the National Highway, prompting prompt responses from local authorities and accident response teams. The area was cleared after the damaged vehicles were towed away with a crane, restoring traffic flow. The bodies were taken to the mortuary of Chaksu Sub-District Hospital, awaiting postmortem examinations upon the arrival of the victims’ families.

Investigations are ongoing, with families of the deceased notified about the tragic incident. Further details are being looked into by Investigation Officer Jai Singh from the Accident Police Station (Second).
