Leaders in Telangana, regardless of party affiliations, honored former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao on his 105th birth anniversary. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy praised Rao for his significant role in shaping modern India through economic reforms and effective governance. Rao was remembered as a freedom fighter, multilingual scholar, and visionary leader who navigated the nation through challenging times.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud lauded Narasimha Rao as a visionary statesman whose economic reforms in 1991 reshaped India’s future. Leaders from various political parties and family members visited PV Gnana Bhoomi to pay respects to the late leader, who was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2024.

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy highlighted Narasimha Rao’s pivotal role in initiating economic reforms that propelled India’s development. BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and state BJP president Ramchander Rao also acknowledged Rao’s contributions to India’s economic landscape and governance. Despite his achievements, Narasimha Rao faced challenges within the Congress party, with allegations of not receiving due recognition for his accomplishments.
